Please sponsor my ride in support of HoldYou Foundation's "Fly for Families" Cycling Fundraiser! I'm riding with the HoldYou Team to raise critical funds for families who are struggling with financial hardship as a result of their child's diagnosis with a life-threatening illness. Last year, HoldYou stepped in to provide immediate support to 46 families who faced work disruption, increased expenses and decreased income while their children received treatment. HoldYou holds families by lifting their financial burdens by assuring their urgent basic needs are met, so they can focus on what matters most -- holding and healing-- their child. Together, we can help families like Autumn's.
Autumn's Story.
3-year-old Autumn needed a new kidney to save her life. Her Mom needed to be there for her every step of the way. Sometimes this is easier said than done. To care for Autumn, Lauren, a single mom with 3 children, had to take an unpaid leave from her job, but she still has to pay her bills-rent, utilities, food, gas, etc.--the reality of "life" doesn't stop for parents caring for their child facing a life threatening illness. HoldYou Foundation stepped in to help Lauren with her rent, allowing her to be by Autumn's side. HoldYou Foundation lifts families in crisis by paying for urgent needs, enabling them to provide the love, encouragement, advocacy and care necessary for their child to heal.
