A little about what this fundraiser means to me:

In 2009, five of my friends were all involved in a car accident. Of the five involved, only one survived and medical bills that accrued as a result of several life saving procedures took a tole on his family involved. I can only imagine how HoldYou could have helped his family in the wake of this accident if they would have been been around in 2009, For me, this ride is for him. This ride is for his Mother... For his family and for every family that has gotten a similar phone call involving their child.

Please sponsor my ride in HoldYou Foundation's "Fly for Families Fundraiser!" I'm riding with the HoldYou Team to raise critical funds for families who are struggling with financial hardship as a result of their child's diagnosis with a life-threatening illness or injury. Last year, HoldYou stepped in to provide immediate support to 46 families who faced work disruption, increased expenses and decreased income while their children received treatment. HoldYou holds families by lifting their financial burdens by assuring their urgent basic needs are met, so they can focus on what matters most -- holding and healing-- their child. Together, with your help, we can help families like Isabella's.

Isabella's Story

At just 2 years old, Isabella was diagnosed in September 2016 with Medulloblastoma. She immediately began intensive chemotherapy treatment at Mattel UCLA Children's Hospital for her malignant brain tumor. Isabella is currently hospitalized for minimum of one month as she receives additional chemotherapy treatment prior to undergoing a stem cell transplant.

Little Isabella has endured more struggles and has shown for more courage than most adults do in a lifetime. With two other young children to care for and just one car between them, Isabella's parents do their best to provide her with all the loving support she deserves. But when faced with financial hardship due to loss of income and increased expenses, they needed urgent support. HoldYou stepped in to provide resources for rent to ensure that Isabella's mother could remain by her side at the hospital and that her father could still visit her on weekends.

When families face extreme financial hardship due to work disruption, increased expenses, and decreased income, HoldYou Foundation provides the financial assistance necessary to relieve the overwhelming stress that parents feel, so they can focus on what truly matters most – holding and healing their child.
