$50 towards $3,500

Join me in making an immediate impact for a family in crisis.

Hi Friends,

A lot of you have asked if there's something I'd like for my B-Day next week. Yes!!! There is! Please sponsor my ride in support of HoldYou Foundation's Cycling Fundraiser! Help me to reach my goal of $3,500!

I'm riding with the HoldYou Team to raise critical funds for families who are facing work disruption, unpaid leaves and income loss in order to be at the hospital bedside of their critically ill or injured child. HoldYou has provided direct support to over 185 struggling yet courageous families. Your gift helps families focus on what matters most--holding and healing their child. As a member of the HoldYou Foundation Board of Directors, I can personally attest to the value of your donation and the direct assistance it provides to those who need it most.

Please donate $50, $100, $250 or whatever amount you can. On behalf of the families we help - THANK YOU.

Johny's Story

Johny is an exceptionally lovable 8 year old boy who was born with biliary atresia -- a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants. He received his first liver transplant just before his 2nd birthday, and due to complications, he required a second transplant just five days later. When his second liver transplant began to fail, Johny was placed on the waiting list and waited for three years until he became too sick to stay at home. He was admitted to UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital for three months until the call came that would save his life. During his extended admission, his grandmother, who has custody of Johny and his siblings, remained constantly at his bedside. Because of her love and concern for her grandson, she was unable to work, and her business was shut down. This created yet another incredible hardship on this family who was already extremely worried about Johny's very serious medical condition.

While Johny was in the hospital, the family was referred to HoldYou Foundation for assistance. Thanks to the HoldYou Foundation, the family’s water, electric, and gas bills were able to be paid at a time when the family needed to be focused on little Johny and not their finances. Johny’s grandmother wanted to tell HoldYou, “Thank you for your help. We were really, really happy for the help you were able to give us.”
